I had the best childhood! I grew up in a big Mexican family; all who loved me and really invested in me... and for this I am grateful.
Photography has always been a big part of my life. It all started precisely with my family! It was so fascinating to see my aunts, who were retired when I was born, take photography classes. I would observe and learn from them, and quickly fell in love with photography!
By high school I was shooting film and developing my pictures in a dark room. I was always ready to take a picture! So much so that my uncle was always quick to trust me with his camera.
This same uncle, who believed so much in me, passed away the same year that my grandmother did. I took the last picture of them together. That picture, that moment, became immortalized and it is (and continues to be) treasured by my family.
Through this, I learned to always cherish the special moments and pictures help those memories stay alive.
Now, I find so much joy in documenting life’s precious moments. Three of my favorite models are my two lovely daughters and my loving husband.
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my loved ones! I’m always up to trying new restaurants in the DFW area.
When I’m relaxing you will find me reading a book or doing yoga.
